The women’s theme for 2008 is: “Today, I will not be defeated. Today, I courageously advance.” On October 5, 2007 President and Mrs. Ikeda sent a message to the Women’s conference at FNCC. With the assurance that all of our painstaking efforts for the propagation of Buddhism will lead to unparalleled fortune in our lives, they succinctly clarified our mission as follows: “The women’s division of SGI-USA has a mission to create a mighty river of global kosen-rufu. Please never forget that, just as many streams form the world-renowned Ganges River, the visits each of you make to your members’ homes and the dialogue you carry out with them will create a wonderful river of happiness that is unprecedented in the history of humanity.” They concluded, “We hope that the SGI-USA women’s division will continue to sincerely and warmheartedly expand the circle of compassionate humanism and friendship in every part of the United States.” |
