SGI-USA Online Store Policy Returns You may return most items sold by the SGI-USA Mail Order Center within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. If the return is a result of our error (you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we'll pay the return shipping cost. We cannot accept returns of certain items, such as: Any CD, DVD, VHS tape, or cassette tape that has been opened (taken out of its plastic wrap). Any book that has obvious signs of use. Any item that is not returned in the condition it was received. Please note we accept domestic returns only. International orders are considered to be final. Refunds We can process returns and refunds only for items purchased through our Online Store or the SGI-USA Mail Order Center. Refunds or returns of items purchased at an SGI-USA community center store must be brought to that store for processing. Please allow us two weeks to process the refund check. Exchanges If you received a faulty item and need to exchange it for the same item, please contact us before returning it to us. We will ship out the replacement after we receive the returned item. Back order policy All back-ordered items are subject to deletion. We make every effort to post “Sold Out” notices for any Online Store items that are out-of-stock. In the event an item you ordered is unavailable, we will delete that item from your order, and you will not be charged for it. Please check back with our Online store or contact the SGI-USA Mail Order Center for availability. Credit card policy We will charge your credit card when your order is complete and ready to ship. If you order an item that is out of stock, we will delete that item from your order, and you will not be charged for it. If the out-of-stock items total 50 percent or more of your total order, we will hold your order to contact you to determine if you want to change or cancel your order. For verification purposes, in the Bill To section, please provide the billing name and address of your credit card. Check or money order policy All orders must be pre-paid. Any unpaid orders received will be canceled after 7 days.  Please note that it takes one week for a check drawn on a bank outside California to clear. When sending us a check, please enclose a printout of your order to ensure accuracy. Domestic Shipping If you select “Standard”shipping, we will ship by UPS Ground, or where necessary, by USPS. If you select “Express” shipping, we will ship by FedEx 2-day. We usually ship Standard orders within 48 hours and Express orders within 24 hours if you place your order during our business hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Pacific. If you place your order after business hours, we will ship within 48 hours Standard (or 24 hours Express) of our receipt of your order, the next business day.  International Shipping To ensure accuracy, we require that all orders going to international destinations be placed through the Online Store, http://sgi-usa.net/aos.html. No phone or e-mail orders will be taken for international shipments. The SGI-USA Mail Order Center is currently able to ship books, CDs, DVDs, VHS videos, audiocassettes, and most Buddhist accessories to international addresses. Due to likely damage, we do not ship altars (butsudans) of any kind to overseas addresses. Additionally, please check with your country’s regulations for acceptance policy of imported items before placing your order. Some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. The shipping rate for your order, which is determined by weight and destination, is automatically calculated during the check-out process of the Online Store. Additionally, please note your packages may be subject to customs fees and import duties assessed by the country to which you have your order shipped. These charges are always the responsibility of the recipient. Please note: For your protection, all international orders will be shipped via a trackable method. If you select Standard shipping, your order will be shipped via Express Mail Service (EMS) by the U.S. Postal Service.  If you select Express shipping, your order will be shipped via FedEx International shipping. We accept only credit cards as payment for international orders. Delivery Time For the 48 states, orders generally take 5-7  business days for  Standard shipping. Alaska , Hawaii, and Puerto Rico may take longer. For international orders, we ship within 3 business days of your order. Delivery time, however, depends on the carrier and your country’s regulations and procedures.
